The Busy Life of Summer

The fallen tree is finally gone. Haven't heard from the neighbors about cutting them a check yet but probably soon.

Life is settling down to normal and busy. Garden work here, Garden work there, computer work here, computer work there. All for pay. YAY! (Actually one of the folks is going to pay me in peaches from her orchard and some of the garden work is getting paid in vegetables. I love working for barter.)

I got my bridesmaid dress finally and I'm having a friend alter it for me instead of letting David's Bridal do it. (This friend is an excellent seamstress. She works for the University and several Dry Cleaners in town.) Hopefully I'll have it within the week and it won't cost me an arm and a leg. I may make the left over fabric into a clutch but we'll see how much is left.

Dragon Quest VIII is still great fun. I've been playing at night, usually until midnight which is way more fun than it should be.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summers. The weather has cooled a bit here which is very nice. I hope it stays that way for a bit longer.
