So my dad decided he wanted a Zune and gave me his old MP3 player. It's a Sansa.
It's cute. It's just about as big as my cellphone. That's large by today's Ipod standards but small for me. (4gb seems like just enough space for me, so no complaints there. It has a microSD slot should I decide I need more space.)
It's plug and play and drag and drop. That makes me happy. There's some software if you want videos to play but I haven't bothered with it. It looks like it will record voice but I haven't messed with it. It also as an FM radio.
So far I've found two downsides: it only plays mp3s so the few songs I have in wma or oog format don't work. And it's volume control has two settings. Normal and High. I need to invest in some headphones with a volume toggle. (Not so much of an issue for me since I hate ear buds anyway.)
It charges it's battery through the USB cable. I haven't tested it for battery life yet. You can set how long you want the screen to stay on when you aren't messing with it which is nice.
All in all it's cute and it was free. Yay!
